Hello, my name is Pastor Steven Montgomery, and I am the Minister here at Ebenezer Baptist Church. I'd like to share a bit about myself so you can get to know me better. 

I was born in 1970 in the small town of Nuneaton in the Midlands. I have been happily married to my wife, Jane, for over 30 years, and we have four children and nine grandchildren. 

I surrendered my life to the Lord at 6 PM on April 8, 1994. Shortly after, I was baptised at Nuneaton Bible Baptist Church and soon began preaching and serving regularly. In 2008, Arbury Baptist Church in Nuneaton asked me to become their Pastor, and I was ordained into the ministry. Over the following years, I preached and served at several churches as an itinerant preacher until I moved to Manchester in April 2012. I have been pastoring at Ebenezer since September 2020.

In October 2023, I was also honoured to be asked to serve as the General Secretary of the Old Baptist Union in Great Britain. 

Before entering the ministry, I worked as an Enforcement Officer and Civil Servant. I studied Computer Science in college, Science and Mathematics at university, and Biblical Theology at Bible College.
